Reaching the firm
Before you send anything
Contacting the firm does not create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship begins only when the firm has checked whether it is able to act and has agreed in writing to act for you.
Until then, do not send documents or details you consider confidential. Information sent before an engagement is agreed may not be treated as privileged, and the firm may already be acting for another party in the same matter. What a first message needs
Keep it short. The firm needs enough to tell whether it can act, which is usually the kind of matter, roughly when it arose, and any deadline you are working to. Attachments and the detail of your situation can follow once the firm has confirmed it is able to take it on.
The practice areas page sets out the work the firm handles, and each practice page names the lawyers who handle it and says what happens at a first consultation.
Why there is no form here
A message describing a legal matter is personal information under the Data Privacy Act from its first line, and it can carry material that ought to be privileged. The firm handles that intake directly rather than through a form on a web page, so that what you send goes to the firm and nowhere else.
